May Day! May Day!

The earliest May Day celebrations appeared in pre-Christian times, with the festival of Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers. Many pagan celebrations were abandoned or Christianized during the process of conversion in Europe. May Day these days is best known for its tradition of dancing round the maypole and the crowning of the May Queen.

This collection shows our May Queen basking in the springtime sun, which ironically there was none of today......
And being adorned with beautiful flowers in honor of Flora. It includes a couple of pieces from a Fine Art collection "Wildcat Nudes" which you can see in it's entirety at clairemallettphotography.com

"Flowers"

May Day means an end to April showers......................Bring on the sunshine!!!

"Love is Like a Butterfly"

"If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen. " ...........Sorry I couldn't resist :-)

FYI "Flowers" and 2 other pieces from wildcat nudes are available for sale for the next two weeks to raise money for healthebay.org
